Fishbit-Your new smart fish tank

Everyone loves their fish. We all are obsessed with our pets. It makes us sad when we cannot succeed in caring them. It hurts when our loved ones closer to us become helpless. Fish tank owners around the world sometimes cannot afford to maintain a tank according to their wishes. Some give up this hobby just because of the tediousness of maintaining the tank. Sometimes the fish dies due to careless nature of the owner. In fact keeping a fish tank is actually a job that requires great amount of responsibility.

Fishbit is an Iphone app which simplifies your control over the tank. It keeps a tab on the necessary elements of the tank like water composition etc. so you relax and rejoice your fish,corals and piece of mind.

It is a connected system which keeps a check on the tank,controls your aquarium equipment like lightning and pumps and notifies you of any changes into the tank through an app or web browser.

Fish owners were concerned about their pets when they were out of town. They had to rely on their neighbors for regular checks on the tank for food and water change. Internet of things solves all the problems. Think of a world where your tank suggest you to the perfect conditions for your fish. You are far away from the tank but it alerts you about its drop in pH,sudden change in temperature, oxygen supply not working and a need to clean the tank. If above conditions were taken care of your fish would have survived longer.

Fishbit app is in BETA mode. Hence the features are provided accordingly. You can get updates on the pH value of water,how much saline is the water and change in temperature. App helps you to change these conditions remotely without physically being present.

The product is only in sale in US. They will ship the BETA version by June,15. These units are manufactured in-house so they will be shipped as soon as they are completed.

Setting up Fishbit
Download the Fishbit app and enter your Wifi details. An active internet connection helps to recieve crucial data to maintain long lasting aquarium when you are not around. It still works without it.
Connect your lights,pumps and heater to Fishbit controller. Setup simple automotive actions from the app.
The Fishbit app let's you keep eyes also on the ammonia and nitrite content in the tank

There have been many advancements in sensor technologies and hopefully more features may be added in the future products.

The aim of the company is to provide a smart tank to every pet lover. They have still not quoted a commercial price.
The good thing about this product is that it's open source. So user can modify it according to its needs.
