PhotoMath : An App That Solves Maths Equations From Your Phone's Camera
Guys Don't you think that it would be awesome if our Math problems were solved by just scanning the frustrating problems and equations from our phone camera and getting the answer within the blink of an eye?Well our prayers have been answered by MicroBlink. MicroBlnk is a start-up company that focuses on the text recognition technology and has built an app called PhotoMath that solves the maths equations by just scanning the problems from our smartphone cameras.
The app uses the OCR(Optical Character Recognition) technology to capture the equation and then solves the answers within seconds. There is a red frame in which you have to place the equation that needs to be solved. The app works in real time so we get an instant result on the equation we are scanning and the accuracy of the app is simply amazing and astounding.
PhotoMath has made Maths easy for the students who don't want to carry their scientific calculators to their college everyday or don't have tutors. The best thing about the app is that you can see all the steps of the solution and understand the problem easily. It can solve Arithmetic expressions, Fractions and Decimals as well as Powers and Roots and Simple linear equations.
The app which was released at the last year's TechCrunch Disrupt in London gained popularity in the recent months and is a hit among the youth for its ability to solve Maths equations quicker and in a manner easier than our manual solving of the equation. The only disadvantage that stands is that it only reads the printed equation and not the handwritten text.
The app has been released for the Windows OS and Apple's iOS and will be released for the Android OS in this year.
